Week One

Once the puppies are born, our work really starts! We monitor the pups to ensure that they are each feeding regularly, that they are warm enough and that their bedding is clean. We make sure that mom has lots of fresh water, regular meals (she's hungry!) and breaks outside the whelping box. Every evening we weigh the pups to ensure they are steadily gaining weight and growing strong. Each puppy has a coloured piece of yarn for an ID collar.
